Peanut Butter Pie with a Peanut Crust

I love peanut butter….and chocolate! I love the thought of peanut butter pie….but I have to admit, I had never had a peanut butter pie that I truly loved until last weekend (best weekend ever by the way)! I went to see my husbands brother and his wife and their new baby. My sister in law’s sister brought a peanut butter pie to our lunch and it was SO GOOD! Not only was the filling great, but she makes a gluten free pie crust with peanuts! So for my Welcoming Wednesday post I am going to share the pie recipe from Krafts Recipes dot com and her peanut pie crust.

Peanut Butter Pie

Peanut Pie Crust

Instead of a graham cracker crust, mix:
1/2 bottle of dry roasted peanuts (salted)
1/4 c. sugar
3 T. melted butter.
Run the peanuts and sugar through food processor until the peanuts are uniformly chopped.  Then with the food processor on low, drizzle in the melted butter.  Press the crust mix into a pie plate and bake it at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until it starts to smell good.
